The Idea

In completely lightless rooms blind or visually impaired guides accompany you through everyday situations.

A role reversal takes place, the blind now lead the sighted. The latter temporarily desert their - usually visually percieved - surroundings. Our guides will show them their blind reality full of diverse impressions.

In the dark you will learn to rely on your non-visual senses, to orientate in different ways. During this unique experience in darkness you will get to know yourself, learn about the importance of communication and solidarity and develop an understanding for those who see our world through other eyes than yours.

Gourmets can discover the deliciousnes of darkness twice a week. Enjoy our Dinner in the Dark.

In addition to the exhibition we also offer workshops both for student groups and business. Participants sharpen their concious perception by carrying out special exercices.

Social Background

Dialogue in the Dark is based on a social franchise concept. We want to achieve social aims in an economically professional way. Jobs for disabled employees have been created and will be maintained on the long run. We convey the idea of a natural and unbiased integration of people with disabilities and/or a foreign background, different religions and lifestyles.

Sensesation Ausstellungs GmbH is franchisee of Dialogue in the Dark in Austria. For the first time in its history, the project is hosted by people concerned. We communicate the actualities of people with disabilities. As a consequence we attach great importance to equal opportunities and diversity within our company.
